Weddings: Fee and Andy - part one

I would have to say that photographing a wedding is a true privilege and to be asked to photograph a friends wedding is that and so much more.  I feel incredibly lucky to be capturing such happy, emotional, intimate moments and Fee and Andy it was totally amazing to be welcomed whole heartedly into your moments.

Fee and Andy were married in the Wairarapa on Fee's family farm, Kouratahi, where she grew up.  Kouratahi was such an amazing and beautiful location and Fee's family had done such a wonderful job in preparing it for this special occasion.

Fee and Andy everything about your day was perfect.  You are a fantastic couple that are surrounded by so much love and happiness and I wish you both a long and happy life together.  Thank you so much for allowing Greg and I to be there to capture your day.  This is your day, your moments xx.

Weddings: Reuben & Amelia

"Being deeply loved by someone gives you strength, while loving someone deeply gives you courage" - Lao Tzu

I only got to meet these two in person in the week leading up to their wedding.  They live in Taranaki but Amelia grew up down here and this is where her parents still are.  I think it was pretty special that they decided to come back to Amelia's home town to be married.

Their amazing day took place in the beautiful grounds of Grandview Gardens surrounded by family and friends.  Amelia looked truly stunning and her bridesmaids also looked the part in their gorgeous dresses.  Reuben you looked pretty sharp too and I am sure that you won't forget the ride out to Grandview in that red hot Ferrari.

I loved being there to capture your special day and all the fun that was had.  I wish you both a truly magical life together.

Personal: Scenes From A Mardi Gras

Recently our local primary school held our bi-annual Mardi Gras.  Unfortunately we had to postpone it to the following day due to the weather, but, lucky for us the rain stopped and hundreds of people poured into the school grounds to find themselves a bargin, be tempted by the srumptious food stalls, enter the fairies grotto or pirates cove, dig for treasure, milk a cow, throw a gumboot, ride a horse or treat themselves to an old fashioned toffee apple.

There certainly was plenty for all and it was an amazing day that so many amazing people put so much hard work, planning and time into to make it such a success.

I was asked to take some photographs on the day and thought I would share some with you......
