Babies: Mila

Meet little Miss Mila!

This little bundle of pure joy is my new niece and she was such a super star during her shoot, sleeping pretty much for the whole entire time.

On the other hand big sister Ava wasn't really keen to sit long enough in her very cute fairy dress for photos.....but we did manage to capture a few shots of her.

What can I say....execpt,

cherish the small things in life!

Weddings: Natalie and Ben

10.11.12 sure was special day, especially for Natalie and Ben as it was the day they said I do.

Natalie and Ben were married on Ben's family farm in Lawrence, in the exact spot that Ben took Natalie on their first date - pig hunting.

Natalie and Ben your day was amazing and I wish you and your beautiful girls much love and happiness in the years ahead.

Personal: Moments of Achievement

Have been catching up on a few things this morning and finally getting round to posting a blog about my little cousin Courtney.

Courtney graduated from Teachers College in May and the day following her graduation ceremony she asked me if I would take some shots of her as it was a moment worth recording.  I totally jumped at the opportunity as I know how hard she has worked to reach this goal.

Courtney, you are a beautiful person inside and out.  I am so proud of you and I know that you will have many more moments of wonderful achievements.  I have loved all the time we have been spending together and you know that I will always have your back.

Love you xx

Personal: Perfect Day for a Bonspiel

During the recent school holidays we were lucky to watch the 65th Bonspiel held on the Idaburn Dam in the Maniototo.  Following days of hard frosts the Idaburn was frozen solid enough for the games to take place.  Competitors travelled from all over New Zealand to take part and spirits were definitely high in the -4 celsius temperature.

Through the mist there was a colourful array of knitted jumpers and hats that my Nana sure would of been proud of and it was amazing to hear the sounds of all the curling stones gliding along the ice and to see such large amount of men on the end of a broom.

It sure was a moment that I felt truly blessed to witness such a spectacular winter wonderland, walk on a frozen lake and witness a Bonspiel that can only be held if temperatures drop low enough to freeze the Idaburn.

Babies: Hadley

Recently I had the pleasure of photographing this wee cutie.  A bit of change from weddings and the bonus was getting to have a few cuddles.
